Staff Accountant – US Accounting
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting transactions.
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely bank payments.
- Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Support financial and Tax Audits.
- Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
- Apply judgment and correctly interpret US GAAP accounting requirements to ensure accounting entries are properly recorded.
- Support the management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures and policies.
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients billing issues.
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
- Maintaining client relationships and ensuring client expectations are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and CMA / CPA / ACCA
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience (Big 4 experience is a plus).
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, Including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP).
- Advanced MS Excel Skills.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software specifically Quickbooks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
- Ability to multi-task and take ownership of work.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is must.
- Excellent documentation, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong organization, time management, and task prioritization skills.
Salary
As per industry standards.
Schedule
Normal business hours are from 12:30 p.m to 9:30 p.m IST (may vary depending on daylight savings timings)
