Staff Accountant – US Accounting

Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting transactions.
  • Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely bank payments.
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Support financial and Tax Audits.
  • Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
  • Apply judgment and correctly interpret US GAAP accounting requirements to ensure accounting entries are properly recorded.
  • Support the management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures and policies.
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients billing issues.
  • Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
  • Maintaining client relationships and ensuring client expectations are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting and CMA / CPA / ACCA

Requirements and Skills

  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience (Big 4 experience is a plus).
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, Including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP).
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software specifically Quickbooks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams.
  • Ability to multi-task and take ownership of work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is must.
  • Excellent documentation, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organization, time management, and task prioritization skills.

As per industry standards.

Schedule

Normal business hours are from 12:30 p.m to 9:30 p.m IST (may vary depending on daylight savings timings)
